MUSIC ANYWHERE

Music makes us better. That's what we believe. Live music, played by amazing people, should be available to anyone, anywhere they need it.

Successful funding through The National Lottery Community Fund

Cat Nunn

Thank you to national lottery players!

We found out we were successful in our Community Fund application to the National Lottery in August, so we can offer more people music in their communities.

Thank you to the Community Fund for your support!

Happy birthday to us!

Cat Nunn

It's our first birthday!

We've had our first festival, quite a few sessions and found some great partners to work with for the next incredible year!

We were established on Halloween last year and we've spent the past 12 months asking what people want from us. If you have something you'd like to share, follow the link by clicking the picture and tell us a bit about you or email info@MusicAnywhere.org.uk

WAHWN Go and See grant - small fund, big impact

Read more about how receiving a grant from the Wales Arts Health and Well-being Network helped us to reach more people with live music in Powys.

What we do

Our current projects

We run live music sessions for individuals and groups who may feel lonely or cut off from their communities in Powys or the borders, need to find common ground, or anyone who would benefit from the health and well-being properties that music has. We want to offer Music Anywhere to enhance people's lives, because we believe that music makes us better, in all ways.
Song writing workshops

What we do

Song writing workshops

Song writing gets us listening to music in a different way. Our workshops include how we write, why we write and using song writing for well being and expression. Our sessions incorporate mindfulness and listening exercises and are accessible for everyone!

Workshops can be a one off, or in depth over several weeks.

Singing for well being

What we do

Singing for well being

'I can't sing'! Yes you can! Singing makes us feel great, exercises our lungs and releases happy hormones. Plus, you get to meet people and have great time whilst hitting the high notes!

If you are part of a group, or you would like to get a well being group together, get in touch.

Without our funders we could not offer live music to the many people that benefit from it.

'Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears – it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many of my neurological patients, music is even more – it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them, music is not a luxury, but a necessity.'
Oliver Sacks, best-selling author and professor of neurology at NYU School Of Medicine
